We wish we could help every pet and every family — but our mission is to be a community resource provider to animal rescues, shelters & advocacy groups, not individual pets.

That means we can’t cover personal vet or surgery bills, give food or supplies directly to individuals, or rehome animals. Your local shelter or rescue may be able to help — and many of them get their resources from us.

A kind note about who we help

United Pet Fund exists to support non-profit 501(c)(3) animal shelters, rescues and advocacy groups by distributing donated pet food, supplies and resources at scale. We're grateful for every animal lover who reaches out, and we want to be upfront so your time isn't wasted:

  • We are not able to fund individual animal surgeries, euthanasia or veterinary bills.
  • We are unable to provide pet food or supplies directly to individuals — donations are distributed through our member organizations.
  • We do not rehome or surrender animals. Please contact your local shelter or rescue for placement help.

If your non-profit organization cares for animals in need, we'd love to hear from you — membership is how we extend our reach.
